The latest rumor points to three colors for Apple's upcoming Pro models: Dark Cherry, Sky Blue and Black. If accurate, that would mean the silver option offered with last year's Pro models is being dropped.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone lineup at its September 9 event, where it should also reveal more details about the phones and potentially other new hardware.
What colors will the iPhone 18 Pro have?
According to Weibo leaker Fixed Focos Digital (FFD), the iPhone 18 Pro lineup will come in:
Dark Cherry / Burgundy
Sky Blue
Black
FFD's latest post appears to support earlier rumors that Dark Cherry will be the standout color for this year's Pro models.
The darker red shade would replace the Cosmic Orange finish used on the iPhone 17 Pro.
FFD also said in a follow-up post that they had seen no evidence of a silver iPhone 18 Pro. That would leave black, blue and burgundy as the reported choices.
As with any pre-release leak, these colors should not be treated as confirmed until Apple officially announces the phones.
What happened to silver?
The reported removal of silver would be a notable change because Apple has traditionally offered a neutral finish alongside more distinctive colors.
The iPhone 17 Pro was available in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver. If the latest rumor is correct, none of those three finishes would carry over unchanged to the new lineup.
Instead, Apple would introduce a completely different set of colors, with black returning as the familiar option.
That would also be a reversal from last year's lineup. The absence of a traditional black or space-gray finish on the iPhone 17 Pro generated plenty of discussion, so bringing black back could appeal to buyers who prefer a more understated Pro iPhone.
Sky Blue isn't entirely new
Although Sky Blue would be a new choice for the Pro iPhone lineup, the color itself isn't new to Apple's product range.
Apple has already used a similar Sky Blue finish on the iPhone Air and MacBook Air. Those devices can appear more muted or silvery depending on the lighting, so the final appearance of the iPhone 18 Pro version may differ from what the name suggests.
That distinction matters because Apple's marketing names don't always tell you exactly how a finish looks in person. Materials, lighting and the surrounding frame can significantly change how a color appears.
Another leak showed four colors
The three-color rumor doesn't completely line up with another recent leak.
An unboxing video that purportedly showed dummy versions of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple's rumored foldable iPhone Ultra featured four apparent colors:
Maroon or burgundy
Black
Silver
Blue
The silver dummy unit conflicts with FFD's claim that there is no evidence of a silver production model.
Dummy units are also not reliable proof of Apple's final retail lineup. They are commonly used by accessory manufacturers and others before launch, and their finishes don't necessarily represent the colors Apple will actually sell.
For now, the strongest takeaway is that Dark Cherry, Sky Blue and Black are reportedly being considered, while silver remains uncertain.
When will Apple announce the iPhone 18 Pro?
Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on Sept. 9, when CEO John Ternus is expected to host his first major Apple event.
The company is also expected to use the event to introduce or discuss other products, although the exact lineup remains subject to Apple's official announcement.
Until then, the safest approach is to treat the color information as a rumor rather than a confirmed specification.
If the latest leak is accurate, however, iPhone 18 Pro buyers may have a much simpler choice this year: dark cherry for something distinctive, sky blue for a lighter finish, or black for the classic option.
