Someone in Florida has become the latest Mega Millions jackpot winner.

A single winning Mega Millions ticket, worth an estimated $800 million, was sold in the state, lottery officials announced on July 29.

The winning numbers from the July 28 drawing were 34, 48, 49, 59, and 70, with the gold Mega Ball 12.

The advertised jackpot is $800 million, while the estimated cash value is $344.2 million. The prize ranks as the tenth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history and marks the third jackpot win of 2026, following a $536 million jackpot won in Illinois on March 10 and a $60 million jackpot won in Ohio on March 17.

The July 28 drawing produced more than just the jackpot winner. A ticket sold in Illinois won $5 million, while a ticket in New York claimed $3 million. Overall, more than 645,000 winning tickets were sold across all prize levels.

The $800 million jackpot ended a streak of 38 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner since the March 17 drawing. During that run, players won approximately 10.9 million prizes, with non-jackpot winnings totaling more than $273 million.

Florida has a strong history of Mega Millions winners. The game's largest jackpot — $1.602 billion — was won in the state on Aug. 8, 2023. With this latest win, Florida has now won or shared six Mega Millions jackpots.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for July 31, with the jackpot resetting to $50 million. Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to $663 million, with its next drawing set for July 29.

No one has won the Powerball jackpot since May 2, when two winning tickets — one sold in Florida and the other in Texas — split a $20 million prize.
